July 4th Celebrations

I'm pretty sure the 4th of July is my favorite holiday.  I love the cookouts, the fireworks, the family time, the beautiful summer night sky, and did I mention the food?  Oh, and we can't forget my family birthday celebration.  We were all pretty bummed this year that we couldn't do fireworks due to this no rain thing.  No fun.

We had a fantastic fourth this year, celebrating with my parents, my sister, and her husband and little boy.  So fun!  Mom and Dad got Eli a little baby pool and he just loved it!  Being the only grandchild in Indy, he sure does get a lot of attention!

Mom and Dad made a delicious dinner (as always)!  We enjoyed BBQ chicken, baked beans, fruit salad, a veggie tray, and my favorite of all...Grandma Rosalie's potato salad recipe!  Yum!!

(I got the red plate for being the birthday girl!)

After dinner, it was time to celebrate ME! ;)

Thanks to such an awesome family, I received some fabulous birthday gifts, which I am so grateful for!  We all enjoyed a beautiful jello poke cake (my favorite) made by none other than my dad!  Trust me, I'm just as shocked as you are! Thanks, Dad!

Last but not least...
I just love this picture of Grandpa and Eli!
