Spring!

I got extremely behind on my blogging, and basically skipped all of my spring posts!  This spring we celebrated Mom and Dad's birthdays, celebrated Easter, took Kyhle's youngest brother to the Chicago temple and sent him off on his mission, had a bridal shower for my cousin, went on some dates, enjoyed some beautiful drives all around the north side of Indy checking out some beautiful houses, had our couch destroyed by a dog and purchased a new one, and just loved being together.  I know I say it a lot, but I really love my husband.  I love spending time with him, and I love that we have fun even while doing nothing.  Here are some pictures of our springtime adventures!

Beauty All Around

We have had quite a beautiful Spring this year in Indiana.  We have also experienced a lot of thunderstorms and rainy weather!  Here a few photos I have taken of the beauty around us.  Enjoy!

Walk MS

In April, my family was able to participate in Walk MS Indianapolis!  My parents, Laura, David, Eli, Kyhle, and myself were known as "Team Emily!"  We had a great time walking together, and did 3 miles through the IUPUI campus.  It was such a great feeling to know we were walking for my sister, Emily, who has had Multiple Sclerosis for about 6 years.

I have always admired and looked up to Emily.  She has always been such a great example to me by never giving up.  She is so great at trying to stay positive and having a smile on her face.  She is such a strong person, and I am so blessed to call her my sister.  The coolest part about this walk is that together with my family, we raised $830!  How awesome is that?  Our family and friends were so supportive during our fundraiser, and we are so grateful for that.  Thank you to everyone who donated to Team Emily!

Birthdays and Best Friends

I had a special surprise planned for Kyhle's 25th birthday for a few months.  I was loving keeping this secret from him and making him suffer not knowing what was going to happen.  I was so prepared and ready for it to be the best birthday ever.  Of course...he found out.  He said that everyone was making such a big deal about it, I had a countdown on our white board, and he had to take off 2 days of work, so he knew it was a huge deal.  However, I ended up being so relieved that he found out because it took a lot of pressure off of me, and he was able to give input on what he wanted to do.

One night, I texted his best friend, Judd, and his wife, Taylor, who live in Colorado, and asked them if they would be up for coming to Indiana for Kyhle's birthday weekend.  I bought Judd's ticket (Kyhle's present) and they paid for Taylor to come along.  We had such a great weekend with them!  Kyhle and Judd hadn't seen each other since being in the MTC 5 years ago, and before that, they hadn't seen each other since they were 16.  They grew up together in Nevada and have stayed close friends ever since.  We are so excited for Judd and Taylor, as they are expecting their first baby, a little girl, in September!

Some of the fun things we were able to do with them: NCAA Museum, walk the canal, check out IUPUI campus, birthday party with my family, and a trip to Terre Haute for a birthday dinner with Kyhle's family.  On Monday, his birthday, we went to see the movie "42."  It was so well done, with a great cast.  Also, I was able to get all of Kyhle's best friends together on his birthday for a night at the Indians game!  We were joined by Joanna & Austin, Sam & Debbie, Ryan & Sarah, and Jordan & Ali.  We had so much fun, and Kyhle left that night saying it was "the best birthday ever!"  It was such fun to have all of his closest friends together in the same place doing the thing he loves the most...watching baseball!  Happy Birthday, babe!  I love you!

Here are some pictures of our time with them...
