Living in California

As you all know, I stayed with my brother's four kids, Gwen, Zach, Annie and Tori while he and his wife went to Italy for 10 days!  I was excited for this, especially since I never get to see the kids, and I wanted to be able to spend all of that time with them.  Though it was a challenge being a "single mom" for 10 days, and being away from Kyhle like that, I am so grateful I had the opportunity to be with them so much.  I loved seeing Gwen and Zach get some nice hits during softball and baseball, Annie kill it in Gymnastics, and Tori loving the library story time and just hanging out with Aunt Becky!  I obviously took a ton of pictures while with them, so be prepared for photo overload. :)

My sister, Emily and her husband came with my nephew, Noah, to stay with us for a couple of days, too!  It was so nice to have them there with us, and the kids loved having Noah to play with.  I loved having other adults to talk to. ;)  The kids were pretty excited when Em and Pooch came up with the idea to go to Chuck E Cheese one night.  We had so much fun and the kids all got along really well the whole time!

I was able to sit in as "Mom" at Annie's Mothers' Day pre-school program.  I could tell she was sad Jeri wasn't there, but it was still fun for me to be there with her.

On my last night there, Zach had a sleepover at a friend's house, and I really want to spend some one-on-one time with Gwen.  I got a baby-sitter for Annie and Tori, which they loved, and Gwen and I went out for some fun!  We went to Target, got pedicures, and then went to dinner.  Gwen loved getting her pedicure, and she especially loved the polka dots on her toes.  They painted her fingernails for free, too! It was so nice to spend that quality time with her.  She is growing way too fast, and I will always cherish that night with her. We got home a little earlier than planned, so I let her watch Harry Potter 1 in my bed, and then she got to sleep in my room.  I ended up falling asleep before her! :)
