I'm Thankful For...
The mess to clean up after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends.
The taxes I pay because it means I am employed.
The clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have
enough to eat.
My shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the
sunshine.
The spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I
am capable of walking.
All the complaining I hear about our government because it
means we have freedom of speech.
The lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means I
can hear.
The piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones
are nearby.
The lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and
gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.
My huge heating bill because it means I am warm.
Weariness and aching muscles because it means I have been
productive.
The alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am alive.
We were able to have my parents, along with my sister, Laura, her husband, David, and little boy, Eli over for dinner tonight. We made homemade pizza, salad, and cookies. It was a really nice night to just sit back and relax. My mom said, "It's so nice to not have to be the one to do all the work, and just enjoy my little grandson!" It was a good excuse to get the apartment all clean and pretty, so I decided to take pictures and let you all see our place. I have some pictures on Facebook, but wanted to show you some of the things I am thankful for! :)
Your place looked lovely! Thanks for having us over! We had a fun time, and I'm also thankful that Mom could just sit and play with Eli. :)
