Why do weddings make women so emotional? I didn't even know the bride (or the groom), and I was crying before she even started walking down the aisle. Good thing they had adorable packets of tissues on the seats, along with cute bottles of bubbles! When they opened the doors for Erika to start her walk, I leaned over to Kyhle and said, "Look at the groom." Best part of the ceremony. Right when he saw her, Michael, (the groom), was wiping his eyes and had such a bright smile on his face. Pure love for his bride.
As I said, Kyhle and I didn't personally know the bride or groom, but the bride's mom is Kyhle's boss. Gina was kind enough to invite Kyhle's whole branch to this beautiful ceremony. We were a little nervous at first, but we ended up having a great time with his co-workers, and enjoy a fancy evening together.
I was stressing out all week about what I was going to wear, how I was going to do my hair, and what the evening was going to be like. My mother-in-law, Vicki, graciously bought me a fun black dress (every girl needs one in her closet!) Kyhle was a sweetheart, as usual, and told me to go get a mani/pedi. Of course I couldn't pass that one up! So, with a new dress, new jewelry, new handbag, mani/pedi, and a fresh eyebrow wax (ha!), I was ready to go have a date night with my love.
(Yes, I am the weirdo that took pictures of our food. This salad was delicious!!)
After the ceremony, they had cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, while the bridal party had photos taken. They then opened up the reception hall and served a delicious dinner with salad, steak, potatoes, and veggies. The DJ did a great job with the music, and went around to all the tables asking for song requests. Kyhle and I requested our wedding song, "Angel" by Jack Johnson, but didn't stick around long enough to hear it. They offered open bar, and when dancing time came around, we felt like it was probably time to get out of there!
Kyhle and I had such a great time together, as always. We were grateful for the invite, and the opportunity to spend time with his co-workers and each other. I sure do love him! :)
