Tell Me A Story

I didn't grow up in a country music loving family.  If anything, I grew up in a country music disliking family.  But one year, when my sister Emily came home from college, she brought with her a love of Brooks and Dunn.  I remember fondly us 4 sisters dancing in the kitchen singing, "Ridin' on a hurt train, mmmm makin' tracks.  Ridin' on a hurt train, and there aint no turnin' back..."

I love country music.

Country music tells stories.  Stories about love, stories about family, stories about friendships, stories about trials...stories about life.  It pulls on my heart strings.  It reminds me why I love my Indiana home so much.  I always tell Kyhle that even if we move away (90% chance we will), anytime I hear country music, I will always think of Indiana and miss my home so much.   Don't get me wrong, I love all different kinds of music, and many different genres tell stories.  But none like country music.

There many songs out there that I feel are meant just for me.  I thought I would post some of my favorites for you to enjoy!

"I'm Gonna Love You Through It" by Martina McBride.

"This" by Darius Rucker

"God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton

"Water Tower Town" by Scotty McCreery
