Kyhle rubs my back...a lot.
Almost every night.
Yes, I am one lucky girl.
All growing up, my mom never failed at giving the greatest back rubs that always put me to sleep. Many times, she would lay in bed with me rubbing my back until I was sound asleep, no matter how late it was, and then finally go catch some sleep for herself. As I would lay on the couch watching movies, I would enjoy one of her fabulous back rubs, even it was just 2 minutes long. She spoiled me greatly in the back rubbing department. I owe her one! (Or 100!)
Sometimes Kyhle doesn't fail to remind me that I don't rub his back nearly as much as he does mine (if at all!) Today at work, I realized the reason for that.
As I was rubbing the backs of some of my cute kiddos, I felt myself getting frustrated at them for NOT CLOSING THEIR EYES! One of them in particular had me lay with them for a total of an hour and half, rubbing their back the entire time. I felt like I had failed, because even though I laid there rubbing for so long, they never kept their eyes closed longer than 5 minutes, resulting in no nap. That makes for a very long day. Imagine having 8 children under the age of 3, and 5 of the 8 not getting a proper (if any) nap.
After coming home from work today, Kyhle surprised me with the movie "Crazy Stupid Love." a Coke, and a delicious pork chops and potatoes (my favorite!) dinner. To top it all off, I know he will offer to rub my back or my feet tonight before bed.
I think I may throw him a curve ball.
I'm gonna rub his back!
I know what it is like for two kids not to get their nap... I can't imagine FIVE. At least you don't have to see them all the way till bedtime, cause that's when the crazy/crabyy really hits home.
